Other winter activities
As well as this area offering classic skiing from our base in Saint Pierre Dels Forcats there is also the opportunity to take part in many other Alpine activities using local guides and payable locally, these include; -
Rock Climbing - If you’re into climbing then bring your kit as we have a large bolted crag next to the chalet. There is a world class bouldering area nearby called the Chaos de Targasonne.
Snow Kiting - There is a Snow kiting school in Font Romeu (www.ckite.com) where we can make arrangements for lessons should you wish to try this amazing new sport.
Thermal water Canyoning - Have you ever tried Canyoning, well try it in winter in thermally warmed water.
Winter mountaineering - We can arrange day trips or more through the local mountain guides.
Ski Touring and Ski Mountaineering - Using local guides we can get you to places few others get to in one of Europe’s foremost ski mountaineering areas.
Parapenting - Summer or winter it’s classic.
Snowshoeing - From a short walk out the back of the chalet or a whole day out with a guide this can be a great way for skiers or non-skiers to get another view of the mountains.
Husky Sledging - We can arrange ˝ day or day sessions with a local centre where you can try your hand at being a “musher” under the guidance of experts.
Extra Information
Insurance - It is compulsory that all guests have their own travel insurance whilst on a holiday with Altitude Adventure. Skiing and Snowboarding are adventurous activities with inherent risks and in a mountain environment emergency evacuation and treatment is very expensive.
